Excel Formulas Cheat Sheet
30 formulas written as working examples, not syntax diagrams. Click one to copy it, paste it into a cell, then change A2 and the ranges to match your sheet.
This page also works as a hotkey overlay. Hold Ctrl+Space to see it, let go to hide it. What is this?
Look up and filter
Sum and count with conditions
Text conditions accept wildcards: "*east*" matches any cell that contains east.
Logic and numbers
Text
Dates
Format codes such as yyyy follow the language of your Excel, so a German Excel wants JJJJ-MM-TT.
No formulas match .
If Excel rejects a formula that looks right, check your regional settings: much of Europe uses a semicolon between arguments instead of a comma. Most of these also work in Google Sheets, except TEXTBEFORE and the third argument of FILTER.
